Guest guest
Hi na, When I got my surgery date a month before my surgery I counted down the days and weeks. My dad didn't want me to go through with the surgery either and said that I didn't need the surgery. it's easy enough for them to say we don't need the surgery but it's us that have to put up with the pain etc. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Guest guest
na - Wow, six weeks! You must be just about jumping out of your skin with anticipation! When do you get your surgical wires and hooks on? Tell your Dad to put a sock in it; if he wants to " help " you, he can throw you a " Celebration of Food " party, but make sure you have it prior to getting the wires and hooks installed, otherwise you will be spending too much time cleaning your party food out of your hooks! hang in there, and if you need to vent, just write me. Take care and have a nice weekend. ~~~ Your friend, Diane > > 6 weeks from today is my surgery..... sooooo excited! although, my dad > is driving me crazy because i don't want to think about it, 'cause the > more i talk about it the further away it semms. my dad can't shut up > about it though, he keeps telling me there's nothing wrong with my > looks and blah blah blah. i just hope this 6 weeks gets over soon! > > > ~ na >
Guest guest
Hi na, I would be excited too! As a Mom, I can feel for your Dads concern too. But I can imagine how that can be unpleasant to hear about it every day. I am just glad that the 6 weeks will likely pass quickly for each of you!! lol Hugs, Fran > > 6 weeks from today is my surgery..... sooooo excited! although, my dad > is driving me crazy because i don't want to think about it, 'cause the > more i talk about it the further away it semms. my dad can't shut up > about it though, he keeps telling me there's nothing wrong with my > looks and blah blah blah. i just hope this 6 weeks gets over soon! > > > ~ na >
Guest guest
Hi na, I'm 41 and I just had this surgery - and I got the same response from my 70-year old Dad! He rolled his eyes, he complained the whole time I had braces on (3 years) that it was taking too long, etc. etc. - I really had to try to pick through the complaints and know that it was only his way to show concern. Sometimes that's hard to see, especially in someone like my Dad who has a hard time showing that kind of emotion. I think he was just worried about me. Maybe your Dad is the same.
