Guest guest
Sherry, I would drop the Texas toast (pure carbs) and maybe consider a different frozen dinner, fewer carbs, maybe a little more fat so you feel fuller longer. Lean Cuisine dinners definitely seem to give me the " munchies " and I think it's because the carbs are high and there's not enough fat to make me feel like I ate real food. Usually when I think something is too much, I'm right :-) and I try to remember to not repeat the same meal again. Brains are funny creatures of habit that way sometimes. Could I be stretched etc? Seems like too much to me. Sherry in Knoxville TN

Guest guest
Okay, just a personal tidbit......I only eat one frozen dinner presently, and that is the stuffed peppers but Stouffer's They're mostly meat, a little veggie. I eat both of them, 400 calories. I'm with , if you're asking.....I'd drop the Texas toast and save all of those carbs for a real treat every now and then. If it takes more food to fill you up, throw in a box of frozen broccoli. Texas toast sounds so benign, but it's practically dessert food. For those non-Texans, it's a thick piece of bread with butter usually cooked on a grill, like grilled cheese sandwich. in Austin RNY April 1998 315/190s RE: too much? Guest guest
I worry that I eat too much as well. I've had strictures and ulcers for most of the first 15 months. For most of that time, I couldn't eat more than a few spoonfuls of anything. The ulcers are now getting better and at almost 18 months, I can sure eat more. I recently had a scope and asked the dr to look for a reason as to why I could eat so much, he said everything looked perfectly fine, pouch wasn't a different size and there wasn't a fistula. When I get hungry I have to eat NOW, it is the oddest thing. The local Hardee's started offering a low carb thick burger and I can almost eat the entire thing. Found that out when I had gotten busy and became over hungry. I can eat quite a bit of broccoli and cauliflower, cooked or raw. About 1 1/2 cups cooked. A whole soft taco with the shell doesn't fill me up. Flax-o-meal not cereal, a full cup of it depending on the day and now that I think of it, the thickness it. What do you guys think, is that too much? The odd part is the feeling of hunger, I can't stand to feel hungry. Before WLS I could ignore being hungry, I'd go a day or two without eating anything and then I go a day or two eating everything. My weight went up about 7 pounds, but then it came back down. I would kind of like to lose about another 10-20 pounds, but I'm not really actively trying to loose. My dr's goal was 150 and I'm 152 give or take a few pounds on any given day. I wear a size 6 some of the time, an 8 most of the time. I think it is all the lose skin that makes me want to lose more weight. sorry to ramble, the food quantity scares me! Am I heading down the wrong path? Use fitday.com for a few days to get a real handle on what you are eating.
