Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. In a recent discussion with my surgeon regarding this very subject, while it is true there is some small amount of stretching, (very small) what does happen is the pouch and connections begin to work more efficiently. Assuming no mechanical problems. More important is by maintaining satiety, with excellent quality protein as in shakes, (nod to Mom), the pouch can remain very small. Eating small quantities every 2 or 3 hours seems to work for many. My goal is to keep the pouch small. I find if I have a shake in between meals, or like Mom, shortly before a meal, I just physically cannot eat very much, and at the same time, I know I am getting enough quality nutrition. This works for me as I was a volume eater. Sometimes like a wood chipper, now slow eating and I'm full fast.
