Highlight and cut. Just like in Microsoft word if you were working on a text doc. love, ceep gmom, hardly the computer wizard, more like the computer door-mouse in the teapot << someone please explain in kindergarten terms how i can edit my replies so that i do not just hit reply and repeat lenghty posts please i have been a very bad bad girl (dont tell santa that!) janice >>
Guest guest
Couldn't agree with you more, ceep. Speaking for myself, I rarely make it off Donkey Island. Guest guest
Janice, for some reason you have me transposing wildly tonight! Don't worry about Santa thinking you're a bad bad girl. Haven't you ever noticed that Santa transposed spells Satan? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Guest guest
Heehee (or is it hoho)...I have a feeling Santa likes bad girls! OK, depending on which format you use (individual, digest, home page), the basic way is when you hit reply, if it brings the previous post into the email, you scroll down to the very end, left click on your mouse at the very last letter and drag it all the way up to, but not over, the part you want to include. That part that was dragged over should now be highlighted. Then, you just hit the " delete " button on your keyboard, and poof! All that hilighted part disappears! So, you just do that to everything except the part that you want to include in your message, type what you want to say, then it usually comes out a bit easier to read if you separate your message and the previous quote with a line, like " ***** " or " ##### " or whatever strikes your fancy. Then send! I don't know how clear that was, so if it's mud, maybe someone can make it a bit easier??? in NJ ************************ > someone please explain in kindergarten terms how i can edit my replies so that i do not just hit reply and repeat lenghty posts please > > i have been a very bad bad girl (dont tell santa that!) > > janice >
