Guest guest
I don't think Brockton has hypoclycemia. He doesn't sweat.........not even when it's hot! We live in the Wellsville southeast of Buffalo. It's beautiful country. A quaint little town. I grew up about 15 minutes away in Bolivar, NY. Can you give me more info on Dr. Harbison? Where does she practice? What is her specialty exactly? I would really like to meet her. She sounds like a ROCK for the parents that I've talked to. Did my picture of Brockton show up? I sent it earlier. Thanks. Jeanie kmerrith wrote: Hi Jeanie, In answer to your quetion about hypoglycemia, I think it is usually characterized by night sweats. I know little about it. Others on this know a lot more and can give you much more info. I know there is a cornstach mixture you can make that helps but I do not know the recipe. As, always, before attempting to treat your child, please consult with your doctor first. In answer to your other question, I know of no aid for you to go and see Dr. Harbison. I would check with your health insurance, to see if they cover the visit and check with your town and state public services agencies to see if they will cover transportation and or meals etc. Since you reside it the same state in which she practices, you might be able to find some sort of state aid. Last, the Magic convention is usually the third week in July. Magic does provide some assistance to get to their convention. Contact Brock Salem (she is on this list). She can give you details about how to apply etc. By the way, are you in the Wellville south east of Buffalo or the Wellville between Utica and Albany (near Amesterdam NY). I just love it when a state has 2 towns with the same name. I hope this helps. Ken M
Guest guest
Hi Jeanie, Westchester County is very close to NYC. Dr. Harbison is a pediatric endocrinologist. She practices in NYC. I forget the name of the hospital. Jodi Z can give you her address and phone number. Your picture of Brockton did not show up. I have the list set up so attachments are removed. Almost all computer viruses are passed through attachments, so I don't allow attachments. If you want to upload a photo, go to the photo section of the web page. Create an album and then upload your photos. Please try and upload only the screen size version and not the full screen high resolution version which eats up a lot of space. If you need help with this, let me know and I will give you step by step instructions. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Jeanie - my son doesn't sweat when he has hypoglycemia issues either. Just FYI. Not to worry you or say that your son does - but, I've come to learn recently that until it's definately been ruled out - I always leave things " open ended " . - H > Hi Jeanie, > > In answer to your quetion about hypoglycemia, I think it is usually > characterized by night sweats.
