Guest guest
It is legal and highly recommended. But quite expensive as honey goes. I don't know what UMF is - units of measurements something? Mara > I've checked several posts and it seems that some members have used this honey and found it useful, but the legal/illegal site does not mention it. Is it legal? If it is, what UMF would be the minimum to use to be effective? And out of the many being marketed is there a " best brand " that can be recommended? Thanks. Guest guest
I don't know what UMF is - units of measurements something?I don't know what it stands for, but it refers to how anti-microbially active it is. I think mine was 12 or 16...and it was Wedderspoon brand. It seemed to be pretty good quality, but what do I know? It's the only one I've ever seen =) Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Prednisone 7.5 mg
Guest guest
UMF is an acronym for Unique Manuka Factor and is usually followed by a number which indicates the antibacterial strength of the honey. The higher the number the stronger the antibacterial effect.
