I noticed that too but thought it also said flavor added. They stopped the

Farmer's because it was spoiling too quickly.. Ron

Well, after I typed my email I went searching online real quickly and it looks legal. Hubby said he couldn't find natural flavorings on the package - so hopefully it's OK!

There were concerns also, over the 4G of carbs listed on the Lifeway brand, so I

errored on the side of caution and had Whole Foods order a case of the

Friendship Farmers brand special for me. You get a discount when you buy a case

and it freezes nicely...last case lasted me 4 months in freezer.

I ran into this too. I wondered about the 4g of carbohydrates on the label and

contacted the company. They assured me that no milk or cream was added after the

cheese was made, and that it was legal for SCD. I have not had any problems with

it. My local Whole Foods would not order any Friendship Farmers cheese for me,

so I get it at Fresh Market when I can. If they don't have it in stock then I go

to Whole Foods and get Lifeway. It's actually quite a bit cheaper, but I do get

the Friendship brand when it's available. They taste slightly different to me

(the Lifeway has no salt added), and I like FF a little better.

So, I think you are okay with Lifeway if you can't find Friendship.
