This is the information I could find on Letrozole. From what it says, Dr H

is using this as an aromatase imhibitor for your daughter. An aromatase

inhibitor blocks the production of oestrogen, which helps to stop, or slow

advancing bone age.

" With less estrogen in the body, the hormone receptors receive fewer growth

signals "

In other words, this drug might help her bone age stop advancing, or at

least slow it down some. If it works, your daughter will gain more growing

time.

Hope this helps!

Pat,

Thank you so much for the explanation. I kept running into other

things for that drug. I will call the insurance back first thing in

the morning and straighten myself out. Your explanation is exactly

itas problem. Imagine that. She is 9 and the bone age is 13.

This is why no one around Michigan gave her growth hormone. She is

on 15mg of Lupron now, but it had still been easing upward with the

old dose of 11 mg.

Thank you for helping and giving me clarity!!!.
