Guest guest
You got that right Stefani, so when I go to Denver for a month or so, not looking forward to that smog either. And the air is clean here, but it sure is darn cold in the winter Gascoigne SD, 50 yrs old, Renaud's 2008, IPF 7/2009To: Breathe-Support Sent: Thu, January 7, 2010 5:21:35 PMSubject: Re: OT: Wind chill 13 degrees and headed to zero We have inversions here in Salt Lake City. We are located between two mountain ridges/ranges, the Oquirrh and the Wasatch. Frequently we get cold air that traps warmer, polluted air between them. You can see the amber colored smog and they issue severe air quality alerts a lot of the time in the winter. I pray for precipitation because it means we will get the air cleared for a few days. At least when I lived in Minnesota, the air was clean. Earlier this week the air was the second worst in the nation. Frequently my California acquaintances that have moved here will comment that it is actually worse than LA or San Francisco!! At least it is above zero a lot of the time. The ski resorts often get precipitation, but then they are at a much higher elevation. With PF, no matter where you live, you care about the weather because it directly impacts you feeling of well-being. Got up this morning and it was -12 and windchill was -32 below. Currently it is -8 and the windchill is still -32 below. Needless to say I didn't go out today. Even with a mask it still takes my breath away. Windchills are suppose to get to maybe a -42 tonight. Looking forward to the end of the month when i get to go a little further south where it isn't so damn cold.
