Guest guest
Joanna, Would you have to omit the allspice? I was not aware that it is illegal. I know I have an SCD recipe by Prasad that has it in there.. However, in some places, there is a mixture of spices, some times called " apple pie spice " and sometimes called " allspice. " The mixture called allspice is not legal. The individual spice is legal. It can be very confusing. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

I hope it is OK It should be a single spice, no additional ingredients, correct? Then it's legal. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
Allspice is not a blend though it sure sounds that way. THe name is because it does taste like a mixture of spices. It should be legal, as far as I know. Joanna, Would you have to omit the allspice? I was not aware that it is illegal. I know I have an SCD recipe by Prasad that has it in there..
