Guest guest
,and Holly, I live in the UK and I had my surgery done on the NHS too. Most of my family and friends were behind me with the surgery but my dad and his girlfriend were against the idea. They said that I shouldn't mess with what I had been born with, if that's the case then do they think I shoudln't have had my cleft lip and palate repaired? Our surgeons wouldn't do the surgeries if they didn't think they were needed! I was admitted into hospital the day before my surgery and when my mum left that night it dawned on me that I was having surgery the next morning. I was relieved to see my mum the morning of the surgery as she was allowed to come to the OR and saty with me until I was knocked out! I was in HDU for the first three days after surgery and stayed in hospital for ten days after my surgery. I had upper jaw surgery, major nose reconstruction, cheek bone and bone graft taken from my hip. My surgery lasted over 14 hours! But I have no regrets! --------------------------------- Yahoo!
