I also have swelling around my cheek area but i have been advised that it will go down in time and that everyone has thier own healing time. What i will say to you is be patient. Guest guest
Hi, I had upper/genio and palate expansion surgery just two days before you, June 6th. I still have some residual swelling in my cheeks and some days it's worse than others especially when I haven't had a proper night's sleep or overdid it on my cocktails on a saturday nite. Anyway, at 4 months post-op we're still early on in the recovery process. You need to give it at least 6 months for the swelling to subside. Some people take longers than others and ideally speaking one has to wait 6 months to 1 year before making a final judgement on the swelling. In the mean time you might want to try out some MLD (manual lymphatic massages) to your face to help stimulate your lymphatic system and reduce the swelling. I've had about 10 since my surgery and have found them to help a lot. See what your doctor says at your next visit but if I were you I wouldn't panic just yet. Guest guest
Hi, I had a Lefort 3-piece right after you on June 28th. I still have a little swelling underneath my upper lip which really shows when I smile. My cheek swelling is just about completely gone, but does show up sometimes after I overdue it at the gym. I was told by my OS that I was still early in my recovery and a little bit of swelling is to still be expected. --Caboose Lefort 3-piece, June 28th > > i had upper/genio like 4 months ago. on June 8th.
