Guest guest
Excellent, Stacey. I just happen to have a bit more apple sauce lying around than is ideal at the moment. This looks good. Mara > This one is my absolute favorite: > http://www.comfytummy.com/2009/07/10/super-light-and-fluffy-scd-bread/ > I've used almond flour in place of the cashew flour and it works just fine. I've also modified it several times (adding things like pesto and sundried tomato) and it's always been amazing. I can't make it too often though b/c I eat WAY too much of it when it's around > Stacey > >
Guest guest
Anyone try to substitute the eggs for a recipe like this or any other bread recipes? They all call for so many eggs and so far eggs do not agree with me...neither does milk. I have basically been eating meat and veggies with a few teaspoons of raw almond butter for some diversity for the last two months - I have nothing to put the almond butter on!! Thanks! ~ Janine Re: What is the best bread recipe? I haven't tried any other bread recipes.. But I made " Kariannes Bread " (some people call it kariannes rockin bread..). 400g almond butter (About 14 oz) 80g butternut squash, cooked (About 2,5 oz) 1/4 cup oil 7 eggs 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon cinnamon Mix it all together in the food processor. Bake at 275 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 1/2 hour. It was SO good.. Here is a picture of it: http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/kannne/?action=view & current=DSC04266.jp g and here: http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/kannne/?action=view & current=DSC04269.jp g I really like it. It was the first thing I ever ate that tasted like bread for 1 year. (Then i restarted SCD and I don't tolerate almond yet..). But the first thing I'm going to try is this bread!!!!! karianne scd 13 months > ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Janine: I used the muffin recipe on page 120 of the BTVC handbook - i substituted yogurt for the 1/4 cup of butter (you can probably use the almond, goat, or coconut yogurt) and for the 3 eggs i only used 1 egg and 2 cups of pureed cooked apple. I did them as muffins and they came out perfect, the top did not fall, they were not crumbly and did not fall apart. You can use the same batter and put it into a bread tin.You can also try to use all fruit for the three eggs. Take Care!
