Guest guest
You didn't say what kind of surgery you were having. I had upper only. I was really surprised. I thought I would feel alot more 'fragile', but I felt pretty solid. I kiseed my hubby from about day 3 on. The first few times were a little freaky and I can't say I was an amazing kisser. However my swelling and numbness subsided quickly and I was pretty normal at about 6 weeks after (about when my spling came out). My nose was a little altered in sensation and that made kissing weird if my hubby's nose hit it. But that was about it. 3 months later and kissing isn't an issue. good luck! Guest guest
I saw my fiance' for the first time 4 days post-op and he immediately wanted to kiss me. Needless to say with a splint in my mouth and being banded shut any kissing that took place was simply sweet pecks on the cheek with honestly speaking i couldn't feel. but it made me feel better and very loved and he thought it was very endearing so definitely don't worry about it. within 1 month post-op I was back to kissing normally. good luck!
