Guest guest
I am just now catching up and don't know if you have received many responses. We LOVE our button. I have never had a balloon burst in 2 yrs. I'm not sure what kind of tube your daughter has but I wouldn't change ours for the world after seeing the other types out there. No leaking, no pain, easy changing, no doctors, just really easy maintenance. Keep in mind everyone is different, but we love ours. Also, we saw a dramatic increase in energy and weight as well. Some RSS children require more calories than the average child. When we told our nutritionist the amount of formula our dr prescribed, she said it was WAY TOO MUCH and that there was no way she needed that many calories and that she would get soooo fat. Not at all what happened! Alyssa is currently 4, weighs about 30lbs, and is 41inches. She gets 850 calories thru her tube at night and eats about 400-500 by mouth a day. This is what SHE needs. Every child is different, so you might talk to your dr about his/her goals for your daughter and ask about a time frame. Perhaps if she is not gaining enough they might want to increase her intake. I am just a parent, but this is what has worked for us! Dayna
