Guest guest
Dill, full sour, half sour, pickled tomatoes, and pickled herring. You name them, I probably like them. Right now, I'm going through a little withdrawal because my pickle connection wasn't at the farmers market today's. I was re-assured he would be there next week. He has them in the barrel. I had to settle for Trader Joe's Dill. They were out of the half sour. I did get some Sicilian olives, and some Habanero stuffed ones at the market for a substitute. A new obsession. I also bought some s/f Tofutti Hooray bars. (An ice cream like substance on a stick.) Hey wait, pickles and ice cream? Hmmmm. Maybe I'm pregnant? OK I just looked, nope not possible. Be careful with the pickled herring. Both the bottled cream sauce and wine sauce versions are loaded with corn syrup. Too much sent me into a tizzy. I even tried rinsing a few pieces of the wine sauce one, but I guess it was too saturated. I'm still not going to take up knitting. It's a guy thing. Guest guest
Johathan, It's not just a girl thing...I have male friends that knit. They say that it relaxes them and keeps their hands out of the cookie jar! And my sons & dh can knit...not that they do it everyday, but they know how. Also know a guy that does needle point! And does lovely work! Better than I can, for sure! Not blasting you, just letting you know that some men really enjoy these crafts. Reba > I'm still not going to take up knitting. It's a guy thing. *** In my SCA group there are a number of fellows who make chain mail by hand, attaching each little ring one-by-one. Certainly as time-consuming and hand-occupying as knitting, but WAY more of a " guy " thing! ~~ Lyn

Guest guest
I grew up on pb & pickle sandwiches! I loved them! Glad to know that I am not the only one. Haven't tried them since WLS cause I couldn't figure out how to eat it without bread. Thanks for showing me how! Reba > No no no........pickles and peanut butter!!! Guest guest
> No no no........pickles and peanut butter!!! That's the perfect combination ever!!!! Oh my stars and garters it's a trend! My daughter was eating this the other evening, and I was turning as green as the pickles watching her. She accidentally got sweet pickles instead of dill, and said the only way she could eat them was to cover the taste in peanut butter. Ack. But then I'll put almost anything else with peanut butter. Where's my marshmallow fluff? ~~ Lyn

Guest guest
Gasp . . . not like dill pickles, ohh that is kind of like someone not liking chocolate. LOL One of my nicknames growing up was pickles, I totally love them. I've been away from the list for a little while and came back to find all this pickle talk, the really funny part is that we have been going through pickles like crazy, like everyone else.
