out. It's a beautiful day - no reason for it to go out - but it did. I was

told it would be off for at least two hours, so I took my dehydrator and five

containers of yogurt to my parents' house. They live 1/2 mile away. The yogurt

was not in a working dehydrator for about 30 minutes. Will it be okay?

and I hadn't been in their house for a few days. I noticed a strange smell and

realized their refrigerator gave out. All the food was rotting inside. Had my

power not gone out, it probably would have been a few days before I entered

their house again. It was already at gag-inducing levels when I found it, so

I'm glad my power went out!

It should be. You might let it ferment an extra hour or so over the 24 to

give the bacteria some extra time.

I hate inexplicable power outages.

Glad you found that fridge! Dead fridges and freezers are NO

fun!
