Guest guest
Hi , Olivia was the exact same way right from the start so I know how difficult this is for you. There are 2 very good formulas that we used. One is called Nutramigen which we had the best luck with. The other is Allumenten or Allementin, I'm not sure how to spell it but that's what it sounds like! One is made by Similac and the other is made by Enfalac although I believe they are essentially the same. I know for sure that the Nutramigen is a totally hypoallergenic formula with NO dairy or soy in it (Olivia was allergic to dairy with hives but she was extremely allergic to Soy to the point of vomiting blood and diareha with blood with many hospital trips until we found the cause). Anyway Nurtamigen has a man made casien protien, higher in fat also I think. Although double the price from other formulas it's available at all the grocery stores and pharmacies here. I think there's a formula made by Nestle in the States that is also dairy free but I'm not sure what it's called. Someone else know the name? I think it might have to be ordered through them though. Good luck! Guest guest
, Max had to use Peptamen, Jr. He was and is allergic to milk and soy. He does not break out in hives. He gets stomach inflammation and severe reflux. I think that is the formula that Leah was talking about. It is made by Nestle. We were able to get it through special order from our pharmacy. At one point we got it from the home care company that delivered the pump and its supplies. When insurance would no longer pay for it, it was cheaper to buy it from the pharmacy.
