Hm, I wonder if the holidays are less depressing for people who live in the southern hemisphere, as it is summer when they have their Christmas... I'll have to ask around. ~~ Lyn
Guest guest
I lived " down under " for three years and still this time of year wasn't the best. But then where we were it was possible to get cabin fever because of the heat. Not to mention we were so far away from home that even phone calls were difficult and rare. I can't speak for the Australian's however. This was just ME. Still managed to have fun....gave up cooking after the first year when a 16 pound turkey cost me $36 at the commissary and a pound of FRESH cranberries was $9! After THAT...we went to the Galley for dinner on Thanks Giving and Christmas and took our Aussie friends with us as guests! Was NICE not having to do the dishwashing....and the galley personnel enjoyed our company, I think. Guest guest
I have noticed that this time of year is FAR less depressing now that I'm living in Florida than it was when I was living in NY. ---------------------------------------- Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com http://www.5dollarhosting.com .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune!
