Thanks to all who responded to my post last week. Apologies for the

delayed reply - we've been travelling.

FYI, my husband (while I was travelling) hit upon a solution that

works (at least for the meantime) He gave Max a Skittle candy - told

him to bite down on it (like cowboys bite on a bullet) when the

needle goes in. Like most 5 y.o. boys Max thinks this is wonderful

and we're now giving shots in record time!

Thanks for all your input - we're incorporating a lot of it, too.
