Guest guest
Decaf right? /tease Forgive my ignorance but what is Flavia? Yah lately I've had to resort to laxatives. I can't tell if they are working or not some days. My body feel so weird when it comes to eating regular food. Some days I feel good and other days it seems I have gastric upset a little and it is foods that I never had problems with before and shouldn't have problems with...just my body is being weird. Even through my efforts of trying to stick with high fiber foods, I can't seem to get in 25g to 30g of fiber. I even use flax seed - about 4 tablespoons a day. I know not getting my fiber in is part of my problem and I've seen a few ppl here mention benefiber and the like. I will try that. I also am looking to do a colon cleanse/repair and probably will stop by a healthfood store to see about some. Wondering how I can trust or tell if it's going to work or be a good one. The last thing I need is to hurt myself lol. I also looked at Fruit eze and was pretty impressed with their webpage. The sugars and carbs on the product scare me though. I thought it might not be bad to try it though and just spread it throughout the day so the sugars and carbs don't have the effect on me that I fear. I am fairly certain it's the iron in my vitamins causing it. I find it odd that I do not have constipation problems when my time of the month comes up - like clockwork. Probably is because I am using up my iron during that time, leaving it to not be able to constipate me..which makes me ask questions then of iron and if it's really being used by me properly...why would it constipate. Funny I used to blame the calcium for my constipation but pretty sure it's the iron now. I'm going to play around with the vitamins and see if I can isolate it. Guest guest
Flavia are these office coffee/tea brewing systems. You pop in the packet of coffee/tea of your choice (our office has a selection of about 15 or so beverages) and it brews up one cup on the spot. Only trouble is, if you have a big coffee mug, it won't fit underneath the dispenser - you have to use the styrofoam cup and then pour it into your favorite mug - and you'll probably have to brew multiple cups worth to fill your mug. The Flavia machine at the IBM training class that I was at that hooked me on this Hazelnut coffee was free. The one at work charges 25 cents per cup. Still, it's cheaper than soda (and no carbonation *G*). Let me digress for a minute. I wrote an e-mail to the cafeteria vendor at our workplace (Siemens Health Services in Malvern, PA) complaining that there was a limited selection of the DIET Snapple (only the Diet Lemon, Diet Raspberry and Diet Peach Ice Teas) while there was a whole selection of the non-teas REGULAR Snapples (Snapple Apple, Lemonades - Regular and Pink, etc). They have since stocked the beverage cooler there with a good selection of Diet Snapples other than the teas. The squeaky wheel *does* get the grease every now and then *G*. Now to get them to stock the vending machine with Soy Crisps and mini-Detour bars *G*. JR Re: Re: protein for the no longer newbie/ray | > | > | > | Sheri thanks for pointing this out. Guest guest
4 dried prunes a day at breakfast keeps me regular. Also sometimes add 1/2 cup prune juice in the evening. The prunes also are great antioxidants. CAT > Sherra, > I've been having some constipation too. Stool softeners weren't really > doing the trick and I hate to resort to laxatives.
