Guest guest
Anita, I had the urine catheter in until around noon the second day. I like Cammie had a male nurse that removed it along with the breathing & stomach tubes. It really didn't bother me at all to have them removed. It was nice having the urine tube because I didn't even have to bother for 24 hours to get out of bed. Yes, if your daughter is modest, then I would recommend a female nurse for her. My male nurse really did a great job, and the only time I felt awkward was when I had to expose my rear for a nice shot. I kind of wonder now what that shot was for, at the time I was out of it to even care. I had a Lefort 3-piece on June 28th and my swelling is almost completely gone. Being that your daughter is quite a bit younger than me, I am sure she will recover rather quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if by the second week she is up and about with her friends. I was out and about at 2 weeks post op! Anyway, best of luck to your daughter & you!! -- Caboose > > Hello, > > Well it is official our Daughter has her surgery on August 13th. > It is a Lafort where they are moving her upper jaw forward 4 mm. > With this surgery will she have a catheter?
