Guest guest
Hi , So sorry to hear about you're being banded so tight! I'm concerned about your burning pain below eye. I had numbness below right eye from surgery which I think is pretty much gone. Somehow what ever they do affects some of those nerves by eyes. I finally got rid of all my baby spoons and forks. It sounds like you won't even be able to use some of those. I have a bunch of Zip n Squeeze bags I never used (for both food and liquid - different sizes). If you need them let me know and I'll send them. I still use the Boost like today. I took a Boost Plus with me to San and drank it before I headed some as I had to go straight to hair appt from there. The weather was really lousy driving into San . Pouring down rain for 45 miles at least. I put my emergency flashers on and just kept the speed down to 40-50 mph, as visibility was bad and lots of water on roadway. Coming back it rained, but not as hard. Like you said a positive attitude is important. Up with all the up and downs we have it's ok to feel down sometimes. Just take it a day at a time. I still haven't gotten results of sleep study yet. Hope I get it by the end of the week. I saw the cardiologist today - he's really great - all the tests were good except for one. My cholesterol is good 159 (before surgery-hate to see now after all the eggs), but they now measure the size of the particles and number of particles of LDL. Mine was higher, which puts me at more risk of clogging the arteries. So he wants me to go on niacin as it reduces the size of the particles. This is all new to me - I've been out of lab for 3 years now and obviously haven't kept up on the latest on lipids. Just what I need another pill!! I feel like I have to travel with a pharmacy as it is now!! This getting old is the pits!! Some of it is genetics unfortunately. Just like the small jaws in my Mom's family, heart disease runs on my Dad's side of family. My brother isn't on any meds and takes after my Mom's side - low BP, etc. I can't change the genetics, but I can try to stay as healthy as I can with exercise, diet and unfortunately, medications. Hopefully with that larger glove, you caught Sara's wine! I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know how you're doing.
