Guest guest
H, Thank you so much for the update. It sounds like you are comfortable with things right now and with the PEG tube. Yes, it has a long tube that hangs down, but it isn't that bad for a few weeks. had one a lot longer than that. ;o) I will be getting in touch with you before you go in Tuesday night. I just wish I could be there with you. Talk to you soon, JR > > Ian will continue with his surgery on Wednesday. He will be > admitted the night before (Tues)at 6 pm with an IV of D10. Guest guest
Hi, Strange, Emerence was admitted immediately after her tubes and adenoids surgery and this was prearranged (stayed until next day). It is not the norm but we had no problem with insurance. Sorry yours is not playing nice. > > Ian will continue with his surgery on Wednesday. Guest guest
- Hey - our insurance doesn't have a problem with any of the entire procedure or hospital stay - it has a problem with admitting him the night before because the surgery isn't scheduled until 1:00 pm the next day. They approved an admittance at 6:00 am on the day of surgery - but, have not yet approved the night before. With Ian's hypoglycemia issues which are only stabilized through his ng feedings, it's imperative that he get the D10 early on because Pedialyte will not keep his b/s stable. We have already had problems with his b/s when we had issues with the pump and/or he didn't get the appropriate bolus feeding as scheduled and his sugars dropped below 80. So, Ian is having real difficulties with his b/s and needs to be monitored very closely. Glad to know everything worked out for Emerence. - H > > > > Ian will continue with his surgery on Wednesday. Guest guest
JR - thanks. I'm comfortable actually. We are all (not Ian yet) getting sick with a cold. We have been laying around all day!! That's okay though - it's been raining and windy and the perfect day to hang out. I know Xander doesn't feel good because he's been laying with me!! I gave him Tylenol a little while ago and he perked up a little. We are currently watching the REDSKINS Football game! and, I'm making pancakes - of which, Ian is licking and eating off all the butter! My dh is trying to get him to eat it as a " butter " sandwich! LOL I'll talk to you soon. - H > > > > Ian will continue with his surgery on Wednesday. He will be > > admitted the night before (Tues)at 6 pm with an IV of D10. Guest guest
Dawna - thank you so much! I didn't think I would have time to check the listserve - but, since it's been raining and we've been laying around all day - I thought I would take a quick peek. Thanks again for your thoughts - it's much appreciated. - H > > > > Ian will continue with his surgery on Wednesday. He will be > > admitted the night before (Tues)at 6 pm with an IV of D10. Guest guest
Hey . How are things with Laikyn's arm? I've been thinking of her lot's. How are YOU doing? Thanks - that was cute - he will have a magic button like the rest of the kids - I love that. That's a great idea too - calling it a magic button! Thanks for your kind thoughts. Keep us posted on Laikyn. We so much enjoyed getting the chance to see her in person and meet you as well when we were in New York. - H > > Hey - > > Good Luck with the surgery. Guest guest
, Have a great weekend with your boys. I know the feeling of wanting to just be together and having a great weekend together. We did that with before her surgery (and keep her away from anyone because of germs!!!!). I will be praying for Ian and you.
