Guest guest
Hi I am feeling just a smidge better this morning. Boy the meds sure are bad enough to gag a elephant!!!! Yuck. Well Since I had such a large overbite my OD used extra screws and what not so I now have 2 little scars on each cheek. He corected the top about 4 mm and the bottom 8mm. Anyway How are you doing ? I am not sure I could have went though this by myself. I had awesome nurses. The surgery florr was all full so they put me in the pediatrics, It was really neat because that wing was just about empty so the nurses helped me out alot. I tell you I have the upmost respect for nurses. Thank goodness we have them. Anyway the care I received was great no complaints. Guest guest
Dennis, I know what you mean about the meds they are vile! Though I was lucky in some ways I had all my meds given through the IV for the first 9 days. I saw some of myx-rays last week and all I could see was plates and screws, I asked my surgeon why he used so many and he said that I was one of the severe cases he has seen and it took all the plates and screws to secure everything. I have a scar under each eye so they could do my nose and put the screws in but they're barely noticeable! I'm fed up and wish I could get back to how things were before. But hopefully I will have my surgery soon. I see my ortho on Tuesday to resume ortho treatment OUCH!! I had great nurses too I was lucky to have them and my mum by my side! I couldn't have got through it without them! --------------------------------- Yahoo! for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
