Guest guest
Oh, that's a loaded question. If I listed all of the possible problems, you'd never want to go that route. But you have to look first at the advantages and how they far outweigh the problems. Read 's (H) posts about how well Ian is doing. Think of the relief of not worrying all the time whether or not your child has eaten enough, has stable blood sugars, is gaining weight and has the energy to play and do what she is supposed to do. Think about the growth that goes along with it initially and the change in personality and appearance, both by filling out and in complexion and overall color. I'm telling you, the fears, inconveniences, " problems " all see minor when you see the positive results. Probably some of the more frequent " problems " are granulation tissue (can be cleared with the use of silver nitrate sticks - and painless), leaking tubes, tube coming undone in the middle of the night to have stomach contents all over the bed (I used to put layers of a waterproof mattress cover, sheet, another mattress cover, another sheet, for three layers so I could quickly change bedding in the middle of the night), a beeping pump at 3am.... Nothing major at all. More inconvenient. Do not fear. If you go that route, we are all here to help. That's what we do best! Jodi Z
