Re: Madison's surgical consult

Just wanted to let you know that Maddy is in the special care unit at St

christophers. We came in on Wednesday night she was vomiting ( 10 - 15 times

that day ) and had a fever of 105.5.

Her heart rate and resp. rate has been up probably due to the fever. When we

arrived her sugar was 51. after dextrose it was 331. They did cultures and have

found that she does have a staph infection. She began the Vanco plus 2 other

antibiotics today and her fever only reached 104.9. Her potassium is low so they

have increased that also. I believe they said her sodium was low also. We are

hoping to avoid removing the port. They are waiting to see how she reacts to the

vanco first. She looks terrible She slept from 3pm yesterday until 7 pm tonight.

There isn't a phone in the room however if u call the desk they will give me the

call. So anyone who wishes to phone me it's 1- and ask for special

care. When they pick up you can ask for Chrissy Madison 's mother.

Chrissy - you and Maddy are in my thoughts ALL day and every day.

You are a fabulous mother - you are doing a fantastic job. Stay

strong. Give Maddy a gentle hug for us. Call me on my cell if you

need me today. We love you.
