Guest guest
Hi I am having a dexascan next week after using Isontonix for a year plus I use Myacalcin nasal too. I had a touch of osteopinea last year so it will be interesting to see what has happened. I will let the group know. One thing for sure: Barbara endorses (sells) the Isotonix vits and I am sure she'd want to know if they aren't that good. I think she really cares about us. She says the calcium is absorbed in these vits because the reaction that normally occurs in a normal stomach with acid occurs in the cup before you drink the powder/water mix. Hummm.....I have often wondered so I will know in a week or so. Oh by the way, I am approved for an abdominoplasty at last!!!!! Double hernia repair. Question for the group: I have read a lot about ladies receiving a " hoochie " lift as well. Is this something I need to discuss with my plastic surgeon. Truthfully, I don't see any drooping there but who knows after the stomach is flat. Do they shave you for this? Guest guest
There's also the consideration that our bodies generally cannot absorb a full day's dosage of most supplements, and they need to be split up into 3 or 4 aliquots --taking an entire day's dosage of anything is an invitation to waste your money. On the whole, I agree wholeheartedly with on this stuff: it's pretty much just advertising hype, not much science, and a lot of garbage as far as supplementation is concerned. Guest guest
Yes, you CAN say anything and that doesn't make it valid. No matter how much I LOVE chocolate and mashed potatoes, though, for example, does not make them good for me or my disease or treatment of it. No matter how good Isotonix may be in your opinion, the science doesn't support that they are any better or even as good as many other products out there, available by the way for a lot less money. Regardless of how reputable a company may be, a multi-level marketing outfit is just going to cost the consumer more money, by the very construct of the company. It's a bit scarey to hear that this company is going to " help regulate the industry. " Sorta like putting a wolf in the hen coop, in MY opinion. But then, that is the current state of affairs with our current government. The concerns and well-being of " industry " seem always to take precedence of those of the general public and citizenry. And being a nice person may or may not take you farther than the opposite. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't. When I'm " nice, " my mom's nursing home doesn't do anything about fixing the problems there. But they DO sit up and take notice and make changes when I get up on my not-so-nice horse. If I want the customer service rep somewhere to do me a favor, then nice gets me farther. Point is, " nice " doesn't do anything one way or another when it comes to deciding which supplements are most efficacious for " us. " FACTS are the important thing. So, thanks, , for the facts. Guest guest
Do you think that's true of taking a full day's dosage of IRON all at once? I hear some people do it this way, while others split it morning & evening. I've been taking it in one lump lately, but when I checked with my dietician she told me not to. I really hate splitting stuff cause I will generally forget the second dose (I'm an idiot what can I say!) If folk have been maintaining their iron levels well while taking their entire dose in one sitting, I would be encouraged to continue this rebellion! LOL! Guest guest
I also agree with . Between and (Vitalady) I think they pretty much have a handle on this supplementation stuff. I do know from personal experience (because we have had private conversations on the matter) that knows her B-12 stuff!!!!
