Guest guest
Luna - About the o-rings color, I discussed this with my OD, and also asked if I could have wire ties, as they don't get discolored if you eat curry or other foods. He suggested that we might try some silver ones; I told him I didn't want these braces to show. He said we'll discuss it when the time comes, so we'll see. Actually, if I was a person with a bold personality, I'd probably choose my favorite color - teal! LOL! And, thank you for the website showing the pretty colors of o-rings available. While we are sharing: I found a list of fun emoticons at www.archwired.com . On the homepage, click on " Dental Humor " and you will see Fun Orthodontic Emoticons. Guest guest
Diane Congrats on getting the brackets on! That's a first big and important step. Welcome to the braces club:-) I know exactly what you're talking about in terms of the brackets sticking to the inside of your cheek. Your mouth will probably take a while to get used to the new hardware it's suddenly lumbered with. I found that in addition to wax a topical ointment that i got from the pharmacy helped. i can't remember the name off the top of my head but if you go to the pharmacy and ask for something to help numb internal sores, blisters and cuts they should be able to give you something. Let me know how the spacers and wire fitting goes. Guest guest
I like this idea. Maybe, if I drink enough wine, I will forget that I need the surgery. Guest guest
Reni - NICE TRY! If drinking wine could help me to not only forget I need to have the surgery but to forget that I have an underbite to begin with, I'm afraid that I'd be an alcoholic, or at least own stock in a wine company! LOL! you are too funny! I need to buy a huge glove to catch some of Sara's wine shipment! Yes, I have a real sweetie of an OD - and he's a real cutie too - but darn, he's married with three kids. He says he's 38, but I think he looks about 20. My OMS just turned 46 on Sunday; I think the reason I get along so well with him is because he's a Leo & I'm a Sagittarian. And, by the way, he's a real cutie too. In fact, all of my doctors are good-looking, including my DDS, my Chiropractor(his picture is on his website: www.walkinchiro.com), and my Gyno.(his picture ( Hodges) is at www.thewomansclinic.com). LOL! I sure like to keep my healthcare interesting, and yes, I'm a little bit boy-crazy anyhow. Anybody else have handsome doctors? ~~~ Diane > > > > > > > , > > > > > > > > > > > > > > scary how the teeth and jaw try to move back into their > old > > > > > position, > > > > > > > huh? i guess the saying old habits die hard is very true! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > well i've decided to keep on sending those bottles of > wine > > > > until > > > > > you > > > > > > > catch them. this time i'm sending them via pigeon air > that > > > way > > > > > you > > > > > > > won't risk having any of them drop on your face during a > > > > missed > > > > > catch. > > > > > > > that's one thing we don't want because i sure as hell > want > > to > > > > > see that > > > > > > > gorgeous new smile of yours! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Sara Girl
Guest guest
Sara - Well, it's day five and my teeth are still hurting but it's a " good " hurt - my teeth are beginning to move! The gap between my upper two front teeth is closing already: it's about half way closed! WooHoo! Looks like things are moving right along! Eating is been interesting - it takes me alot longer than before. But I'm keeping very positive about all this and hoping my teeth move faster than expected so I can get to surgery quicker!! Thank you for your continued support. Hope you are enjoying the Italian countryside. ~~ Diane > > > > > , > > > > > > > > > > scary how the teeth and jaw try to move back into their old > > > position, > > > > > huh? i guess the saying old habits die hard is very true! > > > > > > > > > > well i've decided to keep on sending those bottles of wine > > until > > > you > > > > > catch them. this time i'm sending them via pigeon air that > way > > > you > > > > > won't risk having any of them drop on your face during a > > missed > > > catch. > > > > > that's one thing we don't want because i sure as hell want to > > > see that > > > > > gorgeous new smile of yours! > > > > > > > > > > Sara Girl
