Guest guest
Luna, You mentioned you couldn't drink the Boost as you are lactose intolerant. I don't if you're aware they're lactose free. I am severely lactose intolerant. I tried them before my surgery. When I'm going to be out of the house, such as traveling to OD or OS (120 mile rt) or at volunteer job, I just take the Boost Plus or Ensure High Calcium (I am osteopenic). It's usually easier than hauling other food - though sometimes I take something and microwave it. I like the Boost Plus as it is a little thicker and more like a shake. It has more calories, too. Even though I now eat some soft foods (still no chew), I still supplement with them. Unfortunately I've tried the soy supplements, but don't like them. I also use rice milk in the mashed potatoes, cream of wheat, etc. But there are times when I don't feel up to making something in blender or otherwise, so I just drink a Boost. I drink the chocolate, the vanilla wasn't that great and haven't tried the other flavors. Shirley
Guest guest
Luna, Just make sure if you want to drink the Boost or Ensure, to refrigerate them. They taste a lot better real cold. I take a cooler with us when driving into San . That way if I need something before we get home, it's cool and ready to drink.
