Hi all,

We saw Dr H on Friday and I wanted to post an update. First,

is currently 105.2 cm and 17.2 kg (approx 41 1/2 inches and 38

pounds). In the last 3 months, he grew approximately 3/4 inch and

gained about 1/2 pound. Considering that this is while we are

weaning him off the pump, Dr H was thrilled. She cut his pump back

from 400 ml overnight to 250 ml overnight. Slowly but surely we are

getting there :)

is very happy about cutting back the pump as it means he will

be able to wear underwear to bed now and stay dry through the night

(aside from the occasional accident). This really means a lot to

him because " big boys wear underwear to bed. "

has also decided to give up his toddler bed and is asking for

a real bed which we will get him once we get our tax refund. Since

Steve isn't working right now, I don't want to draw on our regular

income for extras.

As for school, that is going well. He has made a lot of friends

this year and everyone seems to love him. I am waiting to hear back

from the head of special ed to discuss the summer. She wanted to

wait until after this school break to get a regression statement

(more for Becca than for ). currently receives PT, OT,

ST, a social skills group and 2 45-minute pullouts each day into a

self-contained special ed room with 2 other boys. They do the same

work as in the classroom, just in a smaller group. He is in a

mainstream classroom with extra adults. However, his teacher has

recommended a one-on-one for next year when the start doing more

actual " work. "

Dr H said she thinks that will do okay in school/life, it will

just be harder because he is wired differently. He is still on

medication for OCD, and probably will be forever.

That's it for now.
