I am splinted closed and I didn't have to much numbness so I can feel pain alot more. In the hospital they kept me on morphine which worked great untill I came home and now I am using lortab which makes me so darn sleepyee. Anyway I don't feel like posting to much due to not feeling to well.. I hope my other Surgery bud is doing ok (Irene) Take care and that you all for the warmest wiches you all gave me on Wednesday. Guest guest
Hi Dennis, I have been thinking how your surgery was going these couple of days. It's good to see you back here again. My stomach was quite upset in the hospital after the surgery. So, I had 2 morphine shots there to settle it down. Fortunately, it was upset anymore after going home. Thank God. Do u think the morphine shot hurts the hip? I think it hurt me quite a bit on my hip. My chin is quite numb...and in fact, i don't have much pain at all after the surgery. My mouth is bounded by 3 elastics on each side....so it 's hard for me to eat/talk. I can barely drink. Today, I feel better, so I talk a bit more, I eat tofu dessert and congee...very easy to swallow thingy...u know. When I don't have enough food intake, I feel weak and shaky. It is a very shitty feeling. Anyways, have a good rest, Dennis. Irene ^__^ > Hello Gang. Well I just came back form the hospital today 2 days > post op. Guest guest
Hi Fran:) Well day three is going a little better this morning. I was just elling how the oral meds are enough to gag a elephant. What really is the worst is the anti biotic meds. They are the worst. I have found out that chacing with a little coffee helps. So Fran when do you get your mouth done? Dennis~ In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " fran " <franesmith2000@y...> wrote: > HI Dennis, > It must feel better to be home, but drowsy is no fun. Hang in there it does get better, though right now it may seem pretty ruff. Just remember to keep ontop of your meds and sleep! Best wishes Kind regards Kat_uk > Hello Gang. Guest guest
Hi Dennis, Glad you are feeling better today. Good tip about the anitbiotics too. I can imagine how awful that is! UGH! I am at the very beginning stages of this process. I have my braces, but am looking at 2 years in them prior to surgery. I have had other surgery, so am not as worried about the actual surgery as I am the recovery period if that makes sense. Holding good thoughts for you during yours!! Great to see you up and about! Guest guest
Hi Diane. Thanks for the big welcome back. This is day 4 for me and this isn't to bad considering everything. It does get somewhat painfull in the night due to the fact that I have hardly any numbness. The swelling goes down a little each day. Anyway have a good day Diane.
