Leah,

So I guess the strong urine smell when she goes the

bathroom is not her spilling ketones - - just a strong

urine smell sometimes. BUT my husband and I noticed

that has what we say is bad breath but it is

somewhat sweet. I never checked her for ketones, I

better now. In fact she is seeing Dr. H on December

28 and I was actually going to mention this to her. I

thought maybe it's worse in the morning because

sleeps with her mouth open a lot and thought that may

have something to do with it and I was also thinking

that she must have her mouth open a lot during the

day. Her breath is even like that after I brush her

teeth and we were getting worried that we don't want

the " stinky breath kid " and having her get picked on

at school.
