About day 5 or 6 my swelling was dramatically reduced. My OS told me

the rule of thumb is the first 2 weeks you lose 70% of your swelling,

and I have found this to be true. However, he said the final 30% is

extremely slow going and normally takes around 2 more months to go

down. Believe me, by 1 week postop you should see a difference.
