Hi ,

You have been through so much ! I am really sorry to hear

this. I was hoping you were feeling better and that the antibiotics

were finally taking hold. Please let us know what you find out

tomorrow. You have been such a trouper through all of this. I

think it would have been more than some could handle as beautifully

as you have. Sending you good thoughts for your appointment

tomorrow!

Big hugs,

Fran

and they were no use at all.

had been happening and that eh's concerned that this is still going

on at five months post-op. He also thinks that he felt something

moving about, so that needs to be checked out too. He wants me to

phone the surgeon's secretary in the morning and see if I can be

added onto the clinic so I can see the surgeon.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Do you mean to say that you've been

seeing your regular doctor (GP, internal medicine, etc) but not your

OS? It's definitely a good idea to talk to your OS. Sounds like you

may need to get your plates and screws removed, and get some x-rays

taken to make sure everything's healing up ok.

Sounds like you're on the right track. It's a bummer that you have to

take such a long drive to see your surgeon. I had an infection about 3

weeks post-op and my OS was very attentive to the problem, wanting to

see me twice a week for a few weeks until it completely cleared up. We

did weekly x-rays for the first 4-6 weeks post-op, too.

with re-occuring infections that I can go and see my GP and he can

give antibiotics and contact the MS to discuss things with him, my GP

used to assist in jaw surgery.

hi Neil,

It is a pain having to drive all that way to see my surgeon but it's worth it.

My surgeon is waiting for the scans before he can do anything else. I have

regular x-rays taken and starting to get fed up of them, but they are needed so

I can't complain.
