Guest guest
It tends to overgrow in the gut and cause problems. I live in a semi-rural area too, so I order a lot of items. Legal starter can be purchased from GI prostart and I think Lucy's Kitchen Shop on line. PJ > > why do they say to avoid bifidus in commercially prepared yogurt when using as a starter? I live in a rural area and can't find yogurt without bifidus. >

Guest guest
Yes Amazon- but be careful. When I started SCD, I accidentally ordered the wrong kind from Amazon and it is not returnable. I had to rely on SCD sites because I tended to make some (expensive) mistakes when I first started. I'm sure Amazon is fine if you are more informed than I was. Guest guest
I buy the Yogourmet starter from Vitaglo (http://www.vitaglo.com/f2614006.html). It's only $2.59 per box, and free shipping if you spend $50. I've yet to find anywhere near a better deal then this! I usually buy 24 boxes at one, since it makes an even 2 cases :-).
