Guest guest
I went back today and though my blood pressure was only 148/88 I was told to not exercise. The Pendleton Center said my symptoms need to be seen by a doctor. So I have a doctors appointment next week. I need a note from her saying it is safe for me to exercise. Their decision was based on multiple things. My fatigue and just walking across the room I was out of breath even though I was on oxygen. I have joint pains and my ankles are now swelling. I have terrible weakness and when I try to hold something my hands shake terribly and I drop what I am holding. I am too weak to hold it. She asked me a lot of questions and I answered. She said it may just be my blood sugar but when she took it it wasn't out of line. Anyway, they want me to see a doctor. I can't imagine what it might be! But, I need a note and I'm a bit confused and scared...I take a diaretic and still my ankles are swelling. Joyce R AZ birds
Guest guest
Joyce - Take it one day at a time. I have been through bouts like this. You need to know what is going on and how to set it straight. I have taken as long as 6 months to get numbers back where they need to be. If it isn't one thing it is another. Between the diabetes, cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure it can be a real merry-go-round. I have to watch my salt intake like a hawk!! They just want you to be able to benefit from the exercise and that may mean nailing down some other problems. You will get there. Just work it on out!! We are with you on this. Persevere! Guest guest
Joyce, I'm so glad you are going to the doctor Joyce. Clearly something is going on....I would not venture any kind of guess but for your own sake you need to be seen so someone can get a handle on this and help you! I know it's frustrating not to be able to exercise but believe me they are refusing you for your own safety. Please be kind and patient with yourself. You are going through alot. Make this "Be nice to Joyce Week"!
