Guest guest
Hey , In any constipation situation it would greatly help to increase Dasia's water intake. Right now we push 20cc of water down Bran's g-tube once an hour. Water doesn't seem to fill him up as quickly, or to cause retching or gagging, that excess formula does. High calorie formula tends to lead to constipation and/or dehydration because it needs to draw more water from the body to be digested. So we were told to push the extra water as much as possible, and not to count just on what Bran takes by mouth. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Pat - I'm so glad you pointed this out. I've bumped Ian up too with the water and that really seems to help. Great reminder! - H > > Hey , > > In any constipation situation it would greatly help to increase Dasia's > water intake. Right now we push 20cc of water down Bran's g-tube once an > hour.
