Guest guest
Judy, I am so glad that you see Dr. Stanhope! He is the best. I just love his personality and his way with the kids. Max is now 5'6 " , I believe. He is seeing Dr. Harbison tomorrow, so I will know more then. Her projected height was always 5'6 " , so I don't know if Max will continue on gh or not. But his bone age is still delayed by about 2 years, so she may keep him on gh and let him get even taller. That would be a miracle. Actually, it is a miracle that he is as tall as he is. He has grown at least 7 inches in two years! Can you believe that? Max began taking Arimidex at around age 10 for early adrenarche. At around 12 he began using Zoladex to supress puberty. He stopped about 2 years ago. He is in full puberty now, shaving, deep voice, muscles, etc. He still does not look 17, though. Then again, I look very young, too. At least I used to. I always had trouble with people believing my real age. At one point Dr. H. said that Max was gh resistant. He was not responding to the gh at all. His growth curve had fallen and we were so discouraged. We thought he would never make it to 5', let alone where he is now. But Dr. H. said that if anyone was going to get him to grow, she was the one - and she was right. I know she had to increase the amount of gh/kilo to the highest dose she could possibly give. Somehow he broke through it all and grew. Whew! Have I answered all of your questions? If not, please let me know. I don't mind telling anyone anything. Guest guest
Hi Jodi, I just hope the endo here in Singapore would give my daughter the GH, so she can grow taller. She's only 135cm (4'4 " ) at the age of 12half. She was only given decapaptyl to suppress her puberty 3 yrs ago and was said to be able in helping her height but she's still crawling her way up. She was also diagnosed to be a diabetic 4 months ago, and now she's gone into depression, mood swings and anorexia. She's refusing food and she lost 3 kgs in 2 wks. Would you be able to check with Dr H, if metformin can cause depression? appreciate your info, rgds mes Jodi Zwain wrote: Judy, I am so glad that you see Dr. Stanhope! He is the best.
