Guest guest
Hi Cyndy, That must be so great to hear about having your braces off by Christmas. It is funny how when you are prebraces, the posts about getting your braces off are not NEARLY as great sounding!! lol I got my braces on about a month ago, and now the thought of getting the braces off for good is just about the sweetest music I can hear!! lol I am really happy you are nearing that point. I haven't heard of the powerchain. What is that? It sounds huge, but maybe I am wrong about that. What did your ortho say about the ringing? Did he have any ideas about that? I am hoping this diminishes for you soon. It sounds like you are otherwise right on schedule. That is great. Let us know when you can bite into soft foods too. That is just a long sighted dream for me right now, and I love hearing it! haha Hugs, Fran > Hi all! > Went to my first ortho visit on thursday since I had my surgery on > Aug 15th (Leforte & BSSO). Guest guest
Fran, a powerchain is just linked, stretchy o-rings that pulls things together. They can be awesome in giving a quick solution to problems, and I liked mine because they cushioned my mouth tissues from the wire ties. There are also metal " powerchains " or lacings. I have no experience with them, and do not know how much they hurt or help. Anything that ups the pressure level can cause some pain, but I never had anything except surgery that I couldn't deal with using a couple of Alleves.
