Guest guest
I had upper jaw surgery last December 16th, 2004 and I STILL have swelling in my cheeks (between my nose and my cheek bones), and still some numbness around the edge of my nose and the roof of my mouth. My doctor said 6-12 months... now I'm wondering if all the swelling will be gone at 12 months. People that don't know me probably wouldn't know that I have swelling, but I can't wait until it all finally goes away! Any comments anyone? Guest guest
Fran As you know I had my operation in DEC 14 04 and my 6 surgical plates removed in july 05, some days my face looks really swollen and others it looks flatter, some days I get pain in my left side where the swelling has been more savere. What is quite positive is that my right side is flatter then my left side, and i must say my right profile is starting to look better, so i am just going to be patient because i now know that if my right profile is looking better it will not be long before my left side looks better 'I hope' Still not sure if i am happy with my new appearance. Good Luck. > > So I'm nearly 12-weeks post op from upper LeFort I and very happy with > > my new bite, but just dying for this swelling to > > finally subside so I can decide whether I'm happy with my new > > appearance (because so far, I'm not...I just don't look all that > > different than before). Guest guest
Hi Tony- I have to apologize for my insensitive comment the other day. It really was not right of me. I'm sorry.
