So from what I can tell, Dole Pineapple Juice in a can has actually been ILLEGAL for 5 years. What do you think? Starches processed from illegal ingredients are illegal, right? I've never used the juice before because I had never read that it was one of the legal ones, so I can't say that it has affected me negatively. But do I wish it was legal because it would be so tasty in my morning smoothies! Well, starches aren't SCD-legal. I used to be able to get pineapple juice without the A & E and had no problems with it. BUt yes, about five years ago, they changed the label. At the time, I attributed my reaction to it to the stress of Hurricane Katrina -- but I don't drink much fruit juice, with the exception of Tropicana original orange. l — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

Guest guest
Just a comment. Juicing a pineapple in your home juicer couldn’t be simpler. It requires a lot less preparation time than some fruits (like citrus, for example). And it tastes much better than any commercial juice ever could. I always dilute my juices, so one juiced pineapple gives me a good amount of juice that I add to my other juices to make wonderful flavor blends. Kim M. And, you can freeze the juice in ice cube trays and take out a cube of this or a cube of that to make mixtures with. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

Guest guest
So if we have pineapple juice from BEFORE this latest change, it's illegal? I have a lot of it left! Do you have juice from 5 years ago? That is the only way it would be legal if this latest email is true. So this was changed at the time of Elaine's death, if not before. It does go to show us that prepared food can't be trusted since it can be changed. ____________________________________________________________ Get Free Email with Video Mail Video Chat!
