Should

be OK, although it is beyond the recommended maximum fermenting time of 30

hours. You might find the yogurt won’t keep as long, and some of the bacteria

probably died off, but there will still be plenty left to be very beneficial.

Of

course check that the yogurt smells and looks OK before trying it. Just in

case the temperature fell too low and some other microorganisms “moved in”

to your yogurt.

I

forgot to turn off my Yogourmet last night at 9pm, fell asleep on the couch. It

went 10 hours over the 24 recommended. Is is still OK to eat or do I need to

make a new batch?

Thanks,

Agnes

It will probably be all right -- it just won't last as long in the

refrigerator. You'll want to eat it up, or else use it in some

cooking.
