Guest guest
Tink, I'm not laughing over your undies dilemma, as a matter of fact I was right there in your 'shoes' and I've finally found the perfect undies! They're at Walmart, they're their brand I believe; Vassarette, $3/pair and come in all sorts of colors. Hear at the local Walmarts in our area they are sold on an 'end cap' of one of the underwear aisles. I've gone from their largest size (3X) and now wearing a size Large and I won't wear anything else...these are the BEST! Guest guest
Go to 's Secret and ask there. Seriously. They all look 15, and they're all twigs, but they're given great training in how to fit bras and panties, and they will be really helpful. At least at my local store, I had THREE gals swarming all over me, saying admiring things, when I explained about my surgery and whipped out my before photos. It was a " girlfriend " experience like I'd always craved (and I'm 36, so I was old enough to be mother to some of them!) LOL And you know, thongs ARE mighty comfortable, if not ideal for everyday wear. I couldn't believe how much I liked them after my TT left me a nice shape. No panty lines in snug pants, a HUGE advantage! :-) Have fun shopping, and don't be ashamed. Ask for bra help too. Chances are, you're wearing bras that don't fit you too. Most of us are/were. After all these years of being post op I still have a clothing issue, and I can't seem to solve it on my own. You remember we had to learn to find clothing and figure out how to wear something other than old lady or old man clothing... well... ummmm ...I can't seem to get my undies to fit right and it's just dang uncomfortable to go around with panties acting like they wanna be thongs! I get the hip and waist area right but the legs just ride right up my (_)_)! I have tried walking into the undies section in a store but I get to embarrassed to ask anyone. How do you make undies fit right without riding up your... you know... thong country. Also on my weight issue... A few weeks ago...I started with liquids trying to jump start my body back to day one, which didn't seem to go well. But that jump started my wanting protein after a few days with just fluids and broth's. Now when I'm hungry I grill a pork chop or some meat, or boil or scrable 2 eggs. I'm watching my carbs and in a little over two weeks I am down 7.5 pounds!! Taa Daa!! I am not touching soda anymore either. That's unbelievable to me. No anything sweet and full of sugar at all anymore. I'm not even missing it. Those few days without all the junk and drinking liquids and broths must have cleaned my system out. All I know is I seem to be headed in the right direction again...that's after a year or so of sliding UP the scale. I'm headed to my goal again. Hope to hear how you figured out the undies. I figure the guys can't help on this one. Not gonna even ask about anything more personal... eee-gads! lol Tink :]
Guest guest
Well, honey the solution is right before your very eyes- buy thongs! They always fit right in the legs!! Try 'em, you just might like 'em. I have spent the better part of my life trying to keep my unders out of there and I finally gave up and shoved 'em in there and as Gomer usta say, Surprise, surprise! I love 'em. Guest guest
I would also highly recommoned 's secret. I had the same experience that had. Their bras aren't cheap, but the advice and the experience were worth it. It was so much fun! I only bought one there, and I actually ended up buying most of my bras at Wal-Mart. I found that the knowlege I gained at VS about how a bra should fit helped me to find one that fit at Wal Mart for a better price. The bras there are definately not as good quality as VS, although they are less than half the price. They won't last long, so I just bought one in every color. Happy shopping! I like both the bras and the undies. I wear some VS, some Walmart and some Wacoal (very expensive brand from Nordstrom's and silimar places. Worth having a few for the great fit.) hugs, Ann
