Anesthetic Question

Hello:

I am 2.5 yrs post op and just had another hernia repair, this time

though with a Spinal Block (a great way to go from a recovery

perspective). However, since my surgery (about 3 wks ago), anytime

I eat or drink anything, my stomach balloons up, I am just full of

gas and then dump like crazy. My question is, could this be caused

somehow by the spinal block? Did it somehow affect the nerves in my

RNY cause it to not work effectively or something? Did not occur to

either my surgeon or myself that a spinal block may have a different

effect for post RNY. Anyone had any similar experience?

Thanks

Reta
