I was told to take probiotic, nystatin and probiotic in different times.

I was supposed to take flagyl for 14 days but I stopped after 10 because I got

so sick. Even with probiotic and nystatin I got a biiiiig yeast flare. It was

hurting when I was walking because my skin got so sensitive...

round of Flagyl, should you take acidophilus at the same time? Will the

antibiotic make the probiotic useless? Should you wait until the antibiotic is

over, and then take a probiotic? Thanks for any advice!

Monitor any side effects to Flagyl very carefully - especially peripheral

neuropathy! I ended up with tingling in my feet that was so bad it hurt to

walk!! The doc made me stop the med asap when I mentioned this effect. It was

too many years ago to remember if I took any probiotics - I doubt it - it was

pre-SCD, but then I used to eat a good amount of plain yogurt (not SCD). I also

read somewhere that it can cause tinnitus.

This post just reminded me of symptoms that I used to have but don't anymore,

and was wondering if they have anything to do with dairy or gluten, which I have

been off of for 1 year. things like, .....

1/ As I would awake every AM, it sounded like doors banging.

2/ On the side of my right foot, I used to have a " hot " spot, I think it was

this neuropathy you are talking about, tingling.

IBS '07 (milk free since then)

Gluten free since 8/09

SCD since 7/14/10
