Guest guest
Hello All! My name is and I am from Fort Worth, Texas. I had surgery August 1, 2002 and I have lost 151 pounds. I am hoping to gain added support since I have not been taking care of myself the way I should. I have found old habits creeping up. I have not gained any weight yet but I know it will be inevitable with the way I am have been eating. I just wanted to introduce myself and I will be reading through some old posts getting familiar with people. God Bless!

Guest guest
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!! It does look like a lot of people are from our area. Well, forgive me for not posting much as I am reading some previous posts. I must say that this group is VERY informative from what I have read so far. I really need the information. My support group tends to always lean toward the pre-op's and that is just a small part in the grand scheme of things. Thank you again for the welcome. It is appreciated! Pre-op 287 Post-op: -151 lbs forever!

Guest guest
Hi there Debbie!!! Thank you for the welcome! I kind of wish we had a little snow here. You know this crazy Texas weather gets to be a nuisance! Ha Ha Take care.
Guest guest
There has always been a long-standing rivalry between ALASKANs and TEXANs!!! Kinda like the Mets and the Yankees. However, even though I'm a life-long Alaska girl, whenever I go to Texas and Oklahoma (yearly), I feel like I'm comin' home! This Alaskan, sends you a great big " howdy " and WELCOME!! Guest guest
Simply put, Texas was always the largest state in the Union UNTIL Alaska was granted it's 49th status!! Then, you could put Texas " inside " Alaska's borders and still have millions of acres left over to run around! During the early " oil " years up here, we had a LOT of Texans (and still do for that matter). It was a memorable time when the beer got going! Anyway, we're all cowboys at heart up here! Guest guest
I get the rivalry between the Mets & the Yankees, but I don't see the connection between Alaskans and Texans. Now, I know that geography is not one of my strengths (my Dad used to joke that I couldn't find my way out of a paper bag with one end open and light shining in), but you can't fool me. I KNOW that Texas and Alaska aren't near each other. The climates aren't even close. The accents are different. They both wear hats, but they're different kinds of hats, so that can't be it either. ---------------------------------------- Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com http://www.5dollarhosting.com .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune!
