Guest guest
SO I went into the hospital and had lefort I and BSSO which started at 2 pm yesterday (Friday). The surgery was performed by my doctor, and he was assisted by the senior resident at the hospital and another resident. (The anasthseiologist's nurse in the OR was also very cute, so that made me happy =) Anyways, the surgery ended around 7:30 - 8.. and much to my surprise, I was not wired or even banded. Doctor told my parents thta the surgery went PERFECT and it just feels so weird to have my upper and lower teeth fit together. I stayed at the hospital over night, took some x-rays and didn't get a lick of sleep. I also ate the best breakfast ever: apple juice and chicken noodle soup without the chicken or the noodles. hehe I came back home at 1 pm today and here is how I feel now: -I am swollen BADLY... out of all the pics I have seen, I think my face is one of the worst I've seen. It's actually kinda weird, one side of my face isn't that swollen but the other side is swollen twice as much.. It kinda feels like bone is protruding out, hope a screw didnt get loose or something (im sure it would hurt like hell if it did) Did anyone else have this kind of swelling? One side more than the other - I can barely consume ANYTHING.. It's even a chore for me to drink water because almost my whole face below my eyes is numb - I can't breathe through my nose at all because of the bloody boogers stuck up all in my nostrils (sorry for being so blunt) I want to get them out so bad, but the doc said not to pick at them because it would cause a lot of bleeding. - I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping because I am used to sleeping on my stomach and I obviously can't do that now. I'm pretty miserable right now, but from what I've heard, things wil get significantly better in the upcoming days, so I'm banking on that. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
