Deb,

The MAGIC convention will be July 20-23, 2006 at the Marriott O'Hare Hotel

in Chicago. Our convention program is nearly finalized. We are planning on

having segments on new research about the genetics of RSS, Nutrition,

Treatment Protocol, RSS Basics, Endocrine Concerns and a moderated

discussion about School Concerns. There are a few other discussions

available as well! We will continue to save a DJ night with Dinner Friday

and a Bingo night with Dinner Saturday. The RSS/SGA Division also has a

pool party on Saturday and there will be an exhibit hall complete with tons

of free goodies on Thursday. Daycare will be available for a very

reasonable during the bulk of the segments Friday and Sat. am. Registration

is only $95 per family for MAGIC members. We get a terrific room rate at

about 105$ including taxes etc. The next newsletter will have lots of great

info and the program will be available on the website in March. MAGIC

members will receive information in the mail. There are also scholarships

available to families who would otherwise be unable to attend. It's truly a

unique experience filled with great information as well as an unparalleled

opportunity to socialize with so many affected families!! IT is really life

changing for many!

Maybe we'll see you there!

Dayna

Subject: Magic conference

Hey there

I looked on their website the other day for conference info...and I looked

in my latest newsletter and see nothing about it. Does anyone know the

dates?

Can you give me details about what usually happens? The childcare

situation? If there is a fee to attend and how much the hotel generally

runs?

thanks so much!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to add that our family has attended the Convention for the

last 3 years, and of course, plan to go again this year. We've been able to

do the whole thing for $1000 or less each year. The most expensive time was

last year when Kaity (my daughter), (my RSS g-son) and I flew to

Chicago. The other years we drove, and were able to take along coolers with

food, etc... to cut costs.

This is the BEST money we've ever spent, the largest " payoff " we've ever

experienced from an investement, and we couldn't imagine a summer without

the Convention as part of it!!
