Guest guest
As if we didn't have enough to think about already... studies have been released and lawyers are already jumping on "Popcorn Lung", lung problems, up to and including transplants, resulting from exposure to Diacetyl vapor released from microwaved buttered popcorn. And apparently the stuff is still being used. The diacetyl itself may not be harmful, but when mixed with heat gives off harmful fumes. At least that's the way I understand it. Bruce probably can explain it better. Several lawsuits have already been filed from workers in popcorn packaging plants to a guy who ate two bags of microwave popcorn a day whose lungs have failed. Broncheolitis Obliterans is the official diagnosis. Bill IPF 10/08 N.E. PA (known right now as the frozen tundra)
